About Boundful

Boundful was founded on a simple belief: Better decisions begin with a deeper understanding of people.

For more than 25 years, Boundful’s principal, Julie Katz, helped organizations uncover what matters most to the people they serve and translate those insights into smarter strategies, stronger brands, better experiences, and more meaningful impact.

Throughout her career, Julie Katz has led qualitative and quantitative research across consumer packaged goods, education, nonprofits, and technology. My work has informed decisions for global brands including LEGO, Banana Boat, Hawaiian Tropic, Playtex Sport, Melissa & Doug, Netflix, and Disney, as well as mission-driven organizations focused on education, health, and social impact.

Organizations come to Boundful when they are facing important questions:

  • What do our customers, members, or stakeholders really need?

  • Where are the biggest opportunities for growth?

  • How can we strengthen our brand, product, or experience?

  • What should we do next?

Boundful helps answer those questions through a combination of research, insight, and strategic thinking.

Whether designing a customer listening program, conducting stakeholder interviews, exploring new opportunities, facilitating strategic discussions, or serving as a fractional insights leader, Boundful and Julie’s role is to bring clarity to complexity and help organizations move forward with confidence.

The name Boundful stems from an adventure practice, from knowing we are all headed somewhere and that our potential is limitless, full of promise. It reflects a belief that understanding creates connection. We are bound to one another through shared experiences, needs, aspirations, and stories. When organizations take the time to truly listen, they build stronger relationships with customers, communities, employees, and partners.

Boundful combines rigorous research with curiosity, empathy, and practical business thinking. The result is insight that doesn't sit on a shelf: It informs decisions, inspires action, and creates momentum.

When I’m not deep in research, you’ll likely find me hiking a trail, working on an art project, or writing essays about creativity, curiosity, and adventure.
